Oklahoma City was the fourth stop for the commission’s Biotech Across America Roadshow, a traveling series of discussions centered around their report released earlier this year, which emphasizes public-private collaborations and recommendations to better position the country to be the unrivaled global leader in biotech innovation.
The report has six pillars: prioritize biotech at the national level, mobilize the private sector to get U.S. products to scale, maximize the benefits of biotech for defense, out-innovate strategic competitors, build the biotech workforce of the future, and mobilize the collective strengths of allies and partners.
The commission intends for the report to serve as an action plan to boost private sector job creation throughout the country while eliminating dependencies on China in the biotech space.
