Life Science Oklahoma (LSOK) will host its inaugural Catalyst event, Rethinking Healthcare with Microsoft’s Kathy VanEnkevort, on Friday, Oct. 3, at Innovation Hall in Oklahoma City. The program is designed to bring national thought leadership to Oklahoma’s life sciences community by highlighting the intersection of innovation, artificial intelligence (AI) and the future of healthcare.
The keynote for this first-ever Catalyst event will be delivered by Kathy VanEnkevort, Microsoft’s U.S. Health & Life Sciences Industry Leader. With decades of experience and recognition including the 2019 IBM Women of Watson Lifetime Achievement Award, VanEnkevort has reshaped how technology, resilience and AI drive progress in health and research. Her talk will explore how emerging tools and data are challenging traditional norms and expanding possibilities across science, business and healthcare.
Oklahoma’s life sciences sector is gaining momentum through new research investments, startup activity and cross-sector collaboration. By hosting national voices like VanEnkevort, LSOK aims to connect local innovators with global perspectives and ensure the state’s researchers, entrepreneurs and business leaders are part of the conversation shaping the future of health and technology.
“Catalyst reflects LSOK’s commitment to sparking new ideas and creating connections that strengthen our state’s life sciences ecosystem,” said Michelle Gregory, executive director of LSOK. “Hosting nationally recognized leaders like Kathy VanEnkevort ensures our community has access to the insights shaping the future of innovation and healthcare.”
This inaugural program will be followed by additional LSOK events later in the fall, continuing opportunities for dialogue and collaboration across Oklahoma’s life sciences community.
